Section Head, Urologic Oncology in New Orleans, LA

Ochsner Health Department of Urology is seeking a faculty member to serve as leader for the Section of Urologic Oncology.

The Ochsner Center for Urologic Oncology (CUO) is located in the Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center at the Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, LA and serves as the academic hub and tertiary referral center for our Health System. The CUO and the Cancer Center are in the midst of an aggressive expansion. The expanded CUO consists of 21 exam rooms and 4 procedural suites and our clinical research team.

Candidates must be board certified and have completed a fellowship in Urologic Oncology.

The Section Head will:

  • provide leadership, direction and coordination of clinical academic and research endeavors in Urologic Oncology
  • collaborate with Cancer Center and system leadership to expand clinical research and cancer care programs in the health system.
  • lead multidisciplinary care team in Urologic Oncology.

The successful candidate for Section Head Urologic Oncology will be a respected Urologist with a track record of excellence in clinical care, research, and education. Academic rank and compensation package will be commensurate with academic qualifications and experience.

Reconstructive Urologist – The University of Chicago: Biological Sciences Division: Department of Surgery: Section of Urology – Chicago, IL

Position Description

The University of Chicago’s Department of Surgery, Section of Urology, is searching for a full-time faculty member at any rank. The successful appointee will have inpatient and outpatient responsibilities to support and complement the faculty in Urology. The appointee will support the reconstructive, trauma and female urology program which entails treating, evaluating, and providing patient care directly. The successful appointee will maintain a productive clinical portfolio and develop a clinical practice complemented by patient-oriented research. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity.

We especially welcome applicants with demonstrated experience in gender reassignment surgery. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

The University of Chicago Medicine has been at the forefront of medical care since 1927. University of South Alabama – University Urology – is actively recruiting for a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Urologist.  We are seeking candidates with special interest and training in Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery, Andrology, or Men’s Health to join our growing practice that includes specialist in Pediatrics, Robotics, Oncology and FPMRS.  Our practice functions outside of the School of Medicine and works as a Private Practice within the structure of the Health Care Authority through the USA Health System.  This hybrid practice allows excellent autonomy in practice but allows partnership with the School of Medicine and Mitchell Cancer Instituted for support in scholarly activities if interested in clinical and basic science research.

Urologic Reconstructive Surgeon - Boston, MA

The Division of Urology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking candidates for a full-time faculty position specializing in Urologic Reconstructive Surgery. Successful candidates should be board certified/eligible in urology, completed a fellowship in reconstructive surgery, and be eligible for a Massachusetts medical license. The successful candidate will have demonstrated strong clinical capabilities in the treatment of urinary tract disorders, including urethral reconstruction, urinary fistula management and transgender reconstructive surgery. Responsibilities will include teaching of medical students and residents, clinical and/or basic research as well as patient care. A track record of academic productivity is required as the candidate will be involved actively in the research and academic mission of the division. The successful candidate for this position may be considered for Harvard Medical School appointment as Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor commensurate with experience and achievements.

The Department of Urology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator up to the rank of full professor.

The faculty member will provide sub-specialty care in the areas of urologic trauma and reconstructive urology. This will include pre-operative evaluation, intra-operative familiarity with surgical reconstructive techniques, and postoperative management. The existence of this appointment is to augment and support Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the Department of Urology at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine and to advance the field of urologic reconstruction.

Qualified candidates will possess an MD degree, have completed an accredited residency in urology, be fellowship trained in reconstructive urology, and be Board certified.

Trauma and Reconstruction is useful but not necessary, and anyone who feels rewarded working in a safety net population  is encouraged to apply. This is a full time position with the opportunity to teach general surgery residents who rotate on service.

Call coverage is 1 in 4 with general surgery residents taking first call. There are six weeks of paid time off and generous retirement fund matching.
